Here are the Rates for Kiln Drying

The fee is 6¢ per day per board foot with a minimum of 1,000 board feet.  The minimum daily rate is $60 for the smallest kiln load, 1,000 BF.  If, for example there were 2,000 BF the daily rate would be $120.  The kiln can hold lumber up to 15 feet in length.

There is an additional 10¢ charge per board foot for stickering/unstickering the load in the kiln.  This charge assumes that your load is size consident.  That is to say, your load is not a mixture of different lengths and thickness.  Mixing different sizes of boards requires additional sorting and stacking time and an additional charge will be made.  If you wish you can assist in the loading and unloading of the kiln, for a reduced rate.

Payment is due at pick-up.  Out of town customers are required to pay 1/2 up front unless other arrangements have been made.  Lazy Creek Studio does not accept credit cards or out of county checks.

Please call ahead for scheduling as we have very limited parking for trailers.  The kiln is located at the top of a hill and there is a steep gravel driveway.  If you need to drop by to check out access to the kiln, no problem.  Its better to do that than get stuck half way up the drive.

Here the kiln is loaded with about 1,500 BF of Red Oak.
